What Azusa does to a car
Azusa Rock is still being mined above town, and Irwindale's gravel pits sit just to the west, so fine quarry dust is a constant. Foothill fires reach the city too — the 2014 Colby Fire forced 870 Azusa homes to evacuate and the 2016 Reservoir Fire started off Highway 39. Rosedale is an HOA community with short driveways and shared rules, APU students in campus housing rarely have a hose, and the older blocks downtown have tight lots. Rather than driving to a wash and back through quarry dust, most people here would rather we come to them with our own water and power.
Either way the fix is the same. We bring the wash to the car.
