What Glendora does to a car
Glendora lives with fire and wind. The 2014 Colby Fire and the 2024 Bridge Fire both burned in the mountains right above town, and ash comes down hard on the foothill streets. Canyon winds have dumped black dust across the city before, and the Azusa Rock quarry is just west. In the Village, the ficus drop fruit and sap on cars along Glendora Avenue.
Many of Glendora's foothill homes sit in gated HOAs with steep driveways, and the city prohibits runoff that flows past the immediate area, with tighter limits on car washing during drought stages. Driving down the hill to a wash and back up also means the car picks up dust again on the way home. For most people up the hill, it's easier to have us come to the house.
