What Echo Park does to a car
The lake is the main problem. Ducks, Egyptian geese and pigeons around Echo Park Lake leave droppings on every car parked nearby, and they turn acidic fast in the sun. Ficus on Sunset and Angelus drop figs and sap, the fan palms shed fronds and fruit, and the 101, the 2 and the 5 wrap the neighborhood in brake dust.
