What Highland Park does to a car
The Arroyo Seco Parkway, California's first freeway, runs along the east side with tight curves and constant braking, and it coats nearby cars in brake dust. The sycamores and oaks around Sycamore Grove Park and the Arroyo drop leaves, bark and pollen onto parked cars. And LADWP water is hard enough that anything the sprinklers hit dries with spots.
